Viveiro Botanical Garden

The Viveiro Botanical Garden & Zoo, located in Santa Maria on the island of Sal, Cape Verde, is a true green paradise in the middle of the desert, a place where nature and fauna coexist in harmony. The garden is open every day from 10:00 to 18:00, and the recommended duration for a visit is 1-2 hours. With an entrance fee of €5 per person, visitors can explore the garden, admire the numerous species of plants and animals, and enjoy the various relaxation and meditation corners present in the park. The garden is also a place of environmental awareness, with many initiatives aimed at promoting recycling and caring for the environment.

The garden is home to a wide range of plants and animals, including parakeets, peacocks, ducks, donkeys, monkeys, goats and turtles. Many of the animals in the garden have been rescued and now live in this safe and loving sanctuary.
